7 Billion Greeting Cards Sent In US Annually

Wow I had no idea how many greeting cards Americans send every year when I joined Send Out Cards (SOC). I became a card sender to help my primary business keep in touch with clients and market my products to prospects. When I really started digging into the business I was amazed how big the industry really is, over $7.5 billion dollars annually in the US alone – I can’t image how much money is spent on cards internationally.

Of the 7 billion cards sent every year in the United States, 80% of them are purchased by women and of those about one half are birthday cards with Christmas and or Holiday Cards being the second most popular occasion.

Even with the 500 million e-cards send world wide, the traditional mailed out greeting card will never go away. People just love to get a card in the mail, and the feeling one gets when sending a card can not be expressed in words.

Make some ones day and send them a card.
